My Self Reflection

I volunteered at ADNEC in Abilitiesme exhibition, speicficlly in the conference. From 24th of march 26th. The exhibition is about special needs people and how they can be a part of the society. I met many special needs people, they are amazing! I met the UAE handicap basketball team. and a group of mens who have there own farm and plant roses to sell them. I met a blind girl, she was talking and acting like a normal girl, I didn't notice that. I learned that there is no word in the dictionary is impossible with special needs.

It was hard to volunteer in the first day, because there was many people coming to the exhibition, we were registration people who enters the conference and guide the special needs people to were they want to go.

I had learned a lot of things about people with special needs. I really enjoyed this experience it was the first time to volunteer in my life. I learned how special needs people should be treats as normal people, because they are normal people and they can do what we can do.

The experience changed me a lot, before this volunteer I was afraid to communicate with special needs people, because it was my first time to met a special needs people. But, I find them very smart and they can achieve. It increases my self-confidence too. It will effect on me in future, because I will not be afraid of hurting there feelings now.

In conclusion, I think we should change our view of special needs people, and understand that they can do what we can do. Volunteering can change you to a better person, and tech you some new skills. It was an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to volunteer again in my free time.
